It all started in the marsh — muddy boots, cold mornings, and the kind of laughs that echo across the water.
Poor Man’s Duck Club wasn’t born in a boardroom. It came from the field — from real hunters solving real problems one hunt at a time.
For me, it all started the morning my brother-in-law brought me out for my very first duck hunt. Right before shooting light, a lone ring neck flew in and landed in the decoys. It hung around just long enough for legal light to hit — and when it did, I pulled up and dropped my first duck. The sound of that shot, the splash, and the stillness that followed — that was all it took. I was hooked! That one hunt turned into an obsession, and over time, into something much bigger.
We’ve always believed you don’t need fancy gear or private land to experience the best parts of duck hunting. You just need grit, passion, and a crew that’s willing to put in the work. That’s what being a part of The Poor Man's Duck Club is all about. It’s not about what you have — it’s about what you make of it.
What started as a few guys chasing ducks before sunrise turned into a mission: to create gear built for the everyday hunter. Tough, affordable, and designed to make life in the marsh a little easier. Every product we make has one goal — to solve problems that real hunters face, because we face them too.

Our goal is simple: build gear that lasts, serves a purpose, and supports the duck hunting that raised us.
We listen to hunters, test everything ourselves, and stand behind every piece we make — from waterproof bags and apparel to field tools built for the worst conditions.

Our latest adventure — The Poor Man’s Slam — takes that mindset to the next level.
We’re on a mission to complete the ultimate North American Waterfowl Slam (ON PUBLIC LAND), chasing every species from puddle ducks and divers to sea ducks and geese — and maybe a few bonus birds along the way — all while filming the entire journey!
This isn’t about trophies or numbers. It’s about the experience, the grind, and the people we meet along the way! Each hunt tells a story — of the land, the birds, and the brotherhood that keeps us coming back.
